The Tinhouse Is A Cottage On The Scottish Island
September 27, 2016
The "Tinhouse ' is a holiday house on the Isle of Skye, Scotland built." Gill Smith and Alan Dickson, the founder of the local architecture Studio rural design, designed and built the House as a rental home. The shape of the building is similar to traditional Scottish farmhouses scattered across the landscape. The roof and walls of the House are clad in corrugated aluminium, which helps to protect the building from heavy storms. A narrow horizontal window opens the beautiful views of the countryside. The Tinhouse was built for £110,000. Also is the majority of the construction was of a person carried. In the Interior, architects combines modern and rustic styles, which was achieved by the use of materials such as concrete, plywood, and wood trim. Architects used recycled materials as much as possible: bed frames and seats of unused construction wood were built, while the wooden dowels were used for door handles and hooks. Used to bring architects more light (because the Windows are narrow), the height of the ceiling, and installed skylights.
